Website Outsourcing

Website outsourcing involves the transfer of a website building function to someone else.

Typically, you outsource a function related to building your website that you are not good at doing. Or, perhaps you simply do not want to perform that function.

Should you outsource some or all of your website building efforts?

As a work-from-home business owner, you should never use others to build your entire home business website.

It is important that you understand both your business and "how and why" your website will make you money.

As a small business owner, you have a great advantage because of the expert knowledge you have in your niche, especially in the "long tail" of your niche.

In essence, you establish creditability using your knowledge. You then make your knowledge sell for you.

You must also have knowledge about building websites to make changes and tweak your website as necessary in order to earn income potentially from every web page.

By the way, you will learn about various statistical and valuable "feedback" tools that will help you make the necessary changes.

Once you have established your website, and you know the "ins and outs", you can start to look at website outsourcing.

However, if you do not have time to build your own website, look at Site Sell Services - a "turn key" solution. This is the best way to avoid the pitfalls discussed below.

Pitfalls of Website Outsourcing

An obvious pitfall is that website outsourcing can cost a lot of money. Even if you have the money to outsource, you of course will want to know that you'll make more money than you spend.

Among many other factors, you must consider how to find the right person to do the work you want done. Remember, on the net, your search may take you across the country or on the other side of the world.

You don’t just use local contractors. You’ll get bids and work with contractors that you will never meet, face to face. They could live anywhere in the world.

You must also consider the quality of work you will get, as this will reflect on your credibility.

Compatibility is another consideration. Even if the person you hire is good at what s/he does, you may have a clash of personalities. Some contractors expect you to accept what they do/offer without question.

Furthermore, you may have to spend money and "work through" a few contractors before finding those that meet your criteria.

Once again, website outsourcing should come much later (very late) in your website building efforts. Believe me, there are plenty of things you could (and need) to do first.

However, if you simply do not have time to build your own website, look at Site Sell Services - a "turn key" solution.

Before You Outsource

It perhaps goes without saying, get feedback (information) before you decide to do any website outsourcing.

Of course, other website builders are the best sources of information. Find people that have already done what you are looking to do. Look for people with a website (or information) similar to your site.

If you build your website using Site Build It!, the excellent, and superior, forums of Site Sell is the only place you will need to go to find good, reasonably priced contractors for outsourcing.

If you are not yet a SBI! owner, you can still get access to the forums as a 5 Pillar Affiliate member.

It cost nothing to join.

There are also other advantages to becoming an affiliate. Look for yourself. Sign-up for free and then visit the forums.

By the way, as an affiliate, you are not obligated to sell but it is an excellent way to start earning income. You do not need a website to start.

Use your membership for access to the forums. You will learn a great deal to help you with building your website.

There is a lot of information in the forums.

Just take it slow and let the information soak-in while you study the information in this website and through The Follow Me Project.
